The 1st edition of National Freelancers Day is created by Commons http://commons.work and Perspective http://perspective.ma.
The NFD is an occasion to celebrate Moroccan Freelancers and the development of the Gig-Economy. Freelancers are self-employed workers who have chosen a different path, to have the freedom to decide their own working hours, their clients and the projects that inspire them the most.
This national day aims to reward the work of the Freelancers community each year. It is also a day when various workshops, training and experience sharing sessions, entertainment and networking take place.
The National Freelancers Day took place in the premises of Commons Zerktouni in Casablanca. Starting off with an opening by Kawtar Benhammmou Head of Ecosystem Development and Operations at Commons Morocco and Nassim El Qochairi CEO of Perspective Media.
Followed by training workshops focused on different components:
"By launching Brand Builder, I worked with freelancers in addition to my internal resources, and it continues to this day. So I know very well the importance of freelancers in the communication and marketing ecosystem in general… this talented youth, thirsty to learn, and who has decided to prioritize their independence can only be respected. This type of event is key to the development and maturity of the freelancer ecosystem in particular, and the creative ecosystem in general. " - Sara Zouad
The second part of the day was dedicated to a Summer Party and Networking. The participants had the chance to enjoy their time and network around the different games and fun activities available on Commons Zerktouni's rooftop, with the ambition to create synergies and encourage collaboration among the different participants.
